Chocolate Hazelnut Dessert

This dessert tastes decadent, but is very easy to put together.  Make it ahead of time for best results.

Chocolate Hazelnut Dessert


  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate hazelnut spread (like Nutella)
  • 1/3 cup plus 2 tbsp hazelnut flavored liqueur (like Frangelico)
  • 2 cups plus 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 box chocolate graham crackers
  • unsweetened cocoa powder for garnish


To make the filling, combine chocolate hazelnut spread and 1/3 cup liqueur with electric mixer on medium.  Slowly add 2 cups heavy whipping cream, and increase speed to medium-high.  Beat until soft peaks form.

Assemble the dessert by arranging chocolate graham crackers on the bottom of an 8×8 pan.  Top with 1 cup of the filling.  Repeat layers 3 more times, ending with the remainder of the filling.  You may have extra graham crackers, but you will use all of the filling.  Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.

Right before serving, make the hazelnut whipped cream.  Beat 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form.  Continue to beat while adding 2 tbsp liqueur and 2 tbsp powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.

Slice the dessert into squares and top each with hazelnut whipped cream and unsweetened cocoa powder, if desired.
