Here is another great party for under $50!! This art-themed party was what my daughter, Emily wanted for her 9th birthday. Check out how cute everything turned out.We set the “studio” (aka: my dining room) for 15 kids. The table was covered in brown craft paper and good ol’ construction paper made colorful place mats. I made rainbow cupcakes and donned each of them with a circle made from fondant icing. At the party, guests were able to create an edible work of art using food markers. Each kid was given an 8 x 10 canvas ordered online from Wholesale Arts and Frames and paint brushes to complete a one of a kind masterpiece. Crayola washable paints worked perfectly on the canvases while providing peace of mind that my entire house would not become a decorating surface.Refreshments were simple but cute. The kids were able to eat their painted cupcake. A “Paint Your Own Parfait” ice cream sundae bar was set up and served along with lemonade and my personal favorite, the Paint Palette Sugar Cookies. The kids made beautiful pictures reflecting his or her own personality. Painting the canvases proved to be a fun party activity and a fabulous party favors!!
